Tempest token help
myTempest needs a WeatherFlow Tempest personal access token only when you want private station observations. The token should come from the same Tempest account that can access the station.
Where to get the token
- Sign in to your Tempest account.
- Open the Tempest token settings page.
- Create or copy a personal access token for the account that owns or can view the station.
- Paste that token into myTempest Setup, then save.
Important token notes
Use the token from your Tempest account, not a map key, API example key, or station number. Treat the token like a password because it grants access to station data available to that account.
Questions people ask
Is the token the same as my Station ID?
No. The token authorizes access. The Station ID tells myTempest which station to use.
Should I share my token?
No. Keep the token private and only save it in trusted setup screens you control.
