Secure Tempest connection
myWeatherDesk now uses WeatherFlow authorization for private station observations. You sign in with WeatherFlow, approve access, and return to myWeatherDesk without copying a personal access token.
How to connect
- Open Setup in myWeatherDesk and choose Continue to WeatherFlow.
- Sign in on WeatherFlow's authorization page and approve access.
- Return to myWeatherDesk and choose a station if the account has more than one.
Credential protection
You sign in on WeatherFlow’s website. myWeatherDesk does not receive your WeatherFlow password, and you do not need to copy a personal access token into Setup. You can disconnect your account in Setup.
Questions people ask
Do I need to find my Station ID?
No. myWeatherDesk discovers the stations available to the authorized WeatherFlow account.
Does myWeatherDesk store my WeatherFlow password?
No. Authentication occurs on WeatherFlow's website; myWeatherDesk never receives your password.
