The Device ID identifies a specific Tempest sensor. myTempest discovers the active weather sensor automatically after WeatherFlow authorization.
When to use it
No Device ID is entered in myTempest Setup. The selected station metadata identifies the active sensor used for live wind and observation updates.
Where it usually appears
- Connect the WeatherFlow account in myTempest Setup.
- Choose the desired station when prompted.
- myTempest then selects the active weather sensor automatically.

Is Device ID required?
