Set up myTempest for WeatherFlow Tempest
Use this checklist when turning a tablet into a myTempest weather display. The setup can use only a display location, or securely authorize a Tempest account for live station data.
Recommended setup order
- Open myTempest and choose Setup.
- Enter the display location so forecast, radar, alerts, sunrise, sunset, and sky visuals use the right place.
- Choose Connect Tempest and sign in on WeatherFlow's authorization page.
- Approve access, then choose the station that should drive the dashboard when the account has more than one.
- Choose temperature and wind units, then save.
What each field does
The location drives forecast and map context. WeatherFlow authorization grants station access without asking you to copy a token, Station ID, or Device ID into myWeatherDesk.
Questions people ask
Can I use myTempest without a Tempest account?
Yes. Enter a city, ZIP, airport, or address to use the forecast-backed display without private station readings.
Should Station ID and Device ID match?
Not usually. Station ID identifies the station. Device ID identifies a specific Tempest sensor device.
